When is the best time to visit Louisiana?
Spring usually results in the best weather but is also the peak season for cities like New Orleans. Mardi Gras can be very crowded with high prices in mid-February to early-March, but is a bucket list item for many. Locals actually recommend November and December as the temperatures are mild and it can be a bit quieter. Summers and early Autumn are usually too hot and humid for most tourists, also there is the chance of hurricanes and storms which might interrupt your travel plans.

How much does it cost to travel in Louisiana?
Louisiana is relatively affordable to travel in. In New Orleans, we found a great variety of restaurants with entrees being below $10. There are also plenty of drink specials at bars, sometimes offering buy one drink, get two free! Staying in the French Quarter can be expensive, but there are some cheaper options 15 to 20-minutes away.
